Software Engineer II

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II to join our growing team!

The JBlocks team is seeking a Software Engineer to implement new capabilities supporting evolving data labeling requirements. Strong Java development is essential. You will contribute across development and enhanced testing, participate throughout the software development lifecycle, and bring ideas to the team's data marking challenges while keeping to the relevant policies.

Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of software engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
    • An additional four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of nine (9) years
Desired Skills:
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
  • Java development experience
  • Understanding of unit and integration testing
  • Familiarity with PKI and REST services
  • Ability to evaluate user issues, then create and document tests to reproduce them in development environments
  • Familiarity with debugging code in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) as a containerized service
  • Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standards
  • Experience performing development in the eVo environment, including familiarity with the tools in that environment such as GreyBox
  • Perform software lifecycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability, and compliance with business requirements
  • Linux experience
  • Use of GitLab, CI/CD, and build pipelines
  • Containerize existing software capabilities using Docker
  • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, and document test results
  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures ensuring the security and integrity of the application
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
  • Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, and XML/HTML
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines
