Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team!
You will serve as the technical anchor for a new feature and capability being added to the AdmitIT product — architecting and designing the feature and translating complex business requirements into robust, documented technical designs. You will coordinate closely with an Integrated Feature Team (IFT) to ensure high-quality delivery across the lifecycle, lead design documentation using object-oriented principles, own the definition of done from concept through deployment, serve as technical liaison to the Systems Engineering team, decompose designs into actionable tasks, mentor junior and mid-level peers, and conduct rigorous merge request reviews to maintain code, security, and performance standards.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Twelve (12) years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
- An additional four (4) years of software engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of sixteen (16) years
- Expert-level Java (17+ preferred) and the Spring Boot ecosystem
- Deep understanding of SOLID principles and object-oriented design patterns
- Proficiency in REST interface standards and best practices
- Ability to communicate and facilitate cross-team collaboration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts
- Ability to write technical documentation, including wiki sites, blogs, and XML/HTML
- Willingness to mentor junior and mid-level software development peers
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
- Strong experience with MongoDB data architecture, including schema design, indexing, and aggregation
- Proficiency in Docker for local development and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for system monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience with PKI, TLS, and SSL certificates
- Knowledge of ICAM capabilities and integration
- Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
- Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines
