JavaScript Developer

The ClassifyIT team is seeking a JavaScript Developer to implement new capabilities supporting the current classification marking tool and the tooling used for M365 web-based applications. This is a collaborative, innovative environment where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable solutions, working with JavaScript, modern frameworks, and integrations in a professional setting that values continuous technical advancement.
Qualifications:
The ClassifyIT team is seeking a JavaScript Developer to implement new capabilities supporting the current classification marking tool and the tooling used for M365 web-based applications. This is a collaborative, innovative environment where you will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable solutions, working with JavaScript, modern frameworks, and integrations in a professional setting that values continuous technical advancement.
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of Software Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or a field related to computer engineering or computer science
- An additional four (4) years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree, for a total of seven (7) years
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, TypeScript, and Node.js/npm
- Experience with AWS (ability to navigate AWS dashboards and services)
- Hands-on experience using Docker (command line) and converting applications to Docker images
- Experience using Git (command line), GitLab CI, and GitLab pipelines
- Familiarity with Jest and Cypress
- Working knowledge of JIRA and GitLab
- Experience developing functional and unit tests
- Experience performing code reviews
- Ability to work directly with customers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to adhere to coding standards and follow team policies
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, with minimal supervision
- Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements
- Adhere to the development processes the team has established
- Assist in developing requirements for new features and fixing defects
- Create and expand unit tests
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office JavaScript API
- Track and respond to user issues and questions
- Triage user issues
- Test new software releases and merge requests
- Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, contractors, and the Government
- Contribute content for the development of high-level documentation and guides
- Strong time management skills
