Software Engineer III

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer III to join our team!

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the tools and services that support the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. This role works closely with cross-functional teams — software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers — to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline mission workflows.

Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills + Experience:

Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
Experience writing Bash/PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
Recent software development experience using Python and Java
Experience using an integrated development environment such as the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK)
Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible
Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Desired Skills + Experience

Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
Experience with interacting/training external customers
