Reflexive Concepts is seeking a Software Engineer III with Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) experience for our PRIME contract. The ideal candidate will design and develop robust software solutions that leverage ML and AI techniques to enhance cyber defense and cyber intelligence solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of programming languages (Java and Python) and experience implementing ML/AI algorithms and frameworks. You will be part of a talented software team developing solutions to innovate mission-critical systems and applications, and will address challenges related to provisioning of infrastructure and cloud migration within a hybrid, multi-cloud environment (e.g., VMware, AWS, and Azure), Cyber Threat Intelligence, DevOps, and containerization & orchestration.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate models for applicability to mission problems, including speed, accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Understand standard AI/ML data formats for models, weights, and data interchange.
- Apply industry-standard techniques for compressing and fine-tuning models to fit target platforms, including CPU-only implementations and edge devices.
- Optimize performance and efficiency of ML/AI models through continuous testing and refinement.
- Design and develop ML and AI algorithms and integrate them into systems to solve emerging mission-critical problems.
- Provide leadership and support for corporate AI efforts, including the AI Working Group, Innovation Center, and proposal activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct research and experiments to identify and evaluate the most suitable ML/AI techniques for specific use cases.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in ML/AI technologies and best practices.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java- and Python-based solutions using industry best practices and frameworks.
- Document experiment results and prototype software solutions, ensuring technical documentation meets requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to jointly solve problems, and work collaboratively in an Agile development environment.

Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with MPO Full Scope polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in software engineering, modernization, or solution architecture. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required Skills:
- Deep understanding of AI/ML capabilities within the client environment.
- Strong software development skills with Java, Python, and object-oriented programming concepts and patterns.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience in the full SDLC (Requirements Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation, Maintenance) using Agile methodology.
Desired Skills:
- Good understanding of software project management tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, Confluence).
- Previous experience developing and deploying ML/AI models in real-world applications.
- Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data science workflows, ETL, and data lakes.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the developer community.
