Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer III to join our team!
The Systems Engineer will support a large-scale Linux compute environment, handling installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across compute, network, memory, and storage. Responsibilities also include sustaining system security integrity, configuring network components, and implementing operating-system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience as a SE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
- Twenty-five (25) years of experience as a SE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (five additional years may be substituted for the degree).
Required Skills + Experience:
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large scale Linux cluster environment
- General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
- Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
- Experience with configuring and sustaining a VMware ESXi/Virtualization environment
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
- Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
- Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Desired Skills + Experience
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
