Software Tool Engineer II

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Tool Engineer II to join our team! The Software Tool Engineer will be responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management. Projects require automated solutions to effectively manage the requirements, link source documents, and architectures. The Tools Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, Tools Engineers shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as other teams as part of a solution to identify, engineer, and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox DDI.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex DDI issues.
  • Automate DDI workflows to improve efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on all aspects of DDI, including IPv4 and IPv6
  • Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6
  • Stay up to date with the latest Infoblox DDI features and best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • DOD8570-M, IAT Level 1
  • Ability to obtain PRIVAC and SYS3
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load Balancing (F5/DTC)
  • Know login management.
  • Familiar with outages, latency issues, & trouble shooting
  • Proven experience designing and implementing DDI solutions
  • Experience with load balancing technologies
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IPv4 and IPv6
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DNS experience with an understanding of maintenance of Infoblox
  • Experience with Infoblox trouble tickets
  • In-depth knowledge of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
  • 14 years combined experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator or configuration management engineer.
  • 8 years of experience as a Tools Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • 4 years of additional experience as a software engineer, system engineer, system administrator, or configuration management experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
